Russian-Kazakh Helicopter Projects regional forum

Russian Helicopters and Aircraft Repair Plant No. 405, with support from the Akimat of Almaty, will host the Russian-Kazakh Helicopter Projects regional forum on 23 October 2013 at the Dostyk hotel in Almaty..

The forum aims to expand bilateral cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in service and maintenance of Russian-built helicopters, as well as promoting Russian Helicopters’ advanced models on the Kazakh market.

During the forum there will be presentations of  Ka-226T and Mi-171A2; the company’s latest developments which are attracting interest from around the world. The Ka-226T is a coaxial helicopter that can be used for medevac missions in urban conditions and in mountain territory. The Mi-171A2 is an innovative helicopter from the multirole Mi-8/17 series that expands the capabilities of this class of helicopter. The Mi-8/17 series is widely used in Kazakhstan, being used among others by the Emergencies Ministry and the Air Force.

Russian Helicopters plans to sign a number of agreements with Kazakh partners during the forum to expand and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation. Kazakh helicopter operators will give presentations on the history of and prospects for operating Russian-built helicopters in the region. Delegates and guests will also visit Aircraft Repair Plant No. 405.

Participants have been invited from Kazakhstan government ministries and official bodies, as well as private-sector companies operating Russian helicopters.
